Once again one of the main events in the Ladies’ golfing calendar, the Club Championship, was played in unpleasant wet conditions. Sixteen ladies entered the competition which is played over 36  holes, the first 18 in the  morning, followed by a further round  in the afternoon .Seven  of the original  competitors  defied the worsening  elements in the afternoon, and continued  to complete  the Championship Challenge.

Kath Cooling emerged the champion with the best overall gross score and Pat Landers had the best net score for the second year running.

Best am gross: Doreen Richardson. Best am. net: Sandra Bastiman.

Best pm gross. Barbara Knaggs. Best pm. Net. Jean Jefferson.

 


 

Other prize winners were:
